THE SCRIPT
The script is what makes or breaks your video.
A great script ties both the audio and visual together to tell a story. Usually the script is mostly words and includes voiceover narration, remarks by a Presenter, and dialogue by actors. It is usually accompanied only by a sketchy outline of the visual content.
Scripting for video is not the same kind of writing as one would use in a business document. The script is designed to be delivered as if one person is talking to another.
It is our suggestion to resist the temptation to use absolutely correct grammar and usage in every situation. Often the colloquial is more effective. Turning "it's" into "it is", for example, may hurt rather than help the final presentation. If you insist on this, you will probably wonder why the final narration sounds so “stiff”. |
